Dennis James Cherney, 46, 2095 Church Road, Mosinee, died due to complications following a liver transplant Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at River Pines Center where he had resided since Aug. 23.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the New Hope Community Church in the town of Eau Pleine, with the Rev. James E. Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Runkel Cemetery, town of Eau Pleine.
Visitation will be held at the Martens/Kundinger Funeral Home, Junction City from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the services.
Mr. Cherney was born July 20, 1953, in Stevens Point, a son of Leonard and Mabel (Johnson) Cherney.
He was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc from 1974 until 1999. He also operated his own deer farm.
Survivors include his parents, Mosinee; five brothers, Harvey (Pat), Blenker, LaVerne (Carol), Wisconsin Rapids, Keith (Gloria), Tomahawk and Bruce and Dale, both of Mosinee; nephews and a niece.
