The Rev. Norman G.P. “Phil” Loveless Jr., 52, Schofield, brother of a Stevens Point man, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
Services were Saturday at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, with the Rev. Woodrow Baumgartner officiating. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
Visitation was held at the funeral home Friday and before the services on Saturday.
The Rev. Loveless was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Tucson, Ariz., a son of Sarah (Day) Loveless, Schofield, and the late Norman Loveless Sr.
He was married to Kathleen E. Tesch on Oct. 1, 1966, in Elk City, Okla.
He was the founding pastor of Harvest Baptist Church, Schofield, where he served the past 13 years.
Survivors besides his mother include his wife, Schofield; two sons, Caleb and Matthew, both of Schofield; two daughters, Lori (Scott) Canovan, Schofield, and Tina (Steven) Keller, Wausau; one brother, Richard (Kathy) Loveless, Stevens Point; and four grandchildren.
