Mary E. Miller, 93, formerly of 1256 Fourth Ave., died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Portage County Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. St. Peter Rosary Society, the Secular Order of St. Francis, Catholic Women’s Club and Catholic Order of Foresters, of which she was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be given to St. Peter Church.
Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 14, 1906, in the town of New Hope, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Wroblewski) Bemowski. She attended local schools.
She was married to Francis Miller on Aug. 24, 1925, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. After the marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. He died July 28, 1995.
She was a member of St. Peter Rosary Society Rose 22 for over 73 years, Secular Order of St. Francis, the Catholic Women’s Club and Catholic Order of Foresters St. Hedwig Court 745, which she served as part president.
Survivors include five daughters, Evelyn Haskey, Milwaukee, Rita Klicinski, Milwaukee, Betty (Edward) Glodowski, Stevens Point, Lucille (Rus) Slicker, Mequon, and Mary (Ron) Zinda, Stevens Point; one son, Raymond (Debbie), Chicago, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons and two brothers.
