Henry W. Bennett, 72, Wisconsin Rapids, a former mill manager at Stevens Point Division of Consolidated Papers, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at his home.
Services were held Monday at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Memorials may be designated to the Foundation of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, to benefit Palliative Care Unit.
Mr. Bennett was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Indianapolis, Ind.
He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Pennsylvania State University. After working for Kimberly-Clark Corp., he joined Consolidated, serving as mill manager before becoming director of Research and Development Division prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Christine “Christl”; one son, Col. Henry W. “Bill” (Ann), Fort Bragg, N.C.; one daughter, Tracy Bennett (Charles) Nordhoff, Bellevue, Wash.; one stepson, Andreas Reindl, Arlington, Va.; one stepdaughter, Veronika Berger, Mariazell, Austria; two brothers, Charles H. and Edward J., both of Indianapolis; and nine grandchildren.
