Gerald W. Johnson, 72, town of Grand Rapids in Wood County, father of a Stevens Point woman, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at his residence.
Services were held Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner with the Rev. Paul Mueller officiating. Burial was in Restlawn Park Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born April 19, 1927, in Minneapolis, a son of Arthur and Otilla (Frankenburg) Johnson.
He was married to Elaine Anderson on April 7, 1951, in Eau Claire.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 until 1947.
He worked for Peters Meats, Northwest Liquor in Stevens Point and Badger Liquor of Fond du Lac. In 1958 he moved to Wisconsin Rapids and was owner and operator of J&J Satellite.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kay Johnson, Stevens Point, and Cindy Lukaszewski, Minneapolis; two brothers, Gordy, Milwaukee, and Cliff, Kelso, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
