Florence R. Cronk, 78, formerly of Wyndmere Estates, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at the Family Heritage Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Lindner officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Boston Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the St. Joseph Family Center from 9 a.m. until the services Tuesday.
There will be a Women of the Moose ritual at 6:45 p.m. Monday, an American Legion Auxiliary ritual at 7 p.m. and a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Cronk was born Sept. 11, 1921, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Frank and Verona Pliska. She grew up in Stevens Point and graduated from high school here.
She was married to George Cronk on Oct. 30, 1946, at St. Peter Catholic Church. He died April 28, 1998.
She worked at various locations in Stevens Point throughout the years, including Moll Glennon store, Northwest Liquor, Weber Tackle Co. and for 15 years at Herrschners.
Mrs. Cronk was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary and Women of the Moose. She was honored for her volunteer work at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. She was also active with the American Legion Post 6 baseball team.
