Edward J. “Skeeter” Wachtendonk Jr., 44, Wild Rose, a Stevens Point native and an area artist, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Holly Funeral Home, Wild Rose, with the Rev. Mark Jaeger officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
Mr. Wachtendonk was born Sept. 17, 1954, in Stevens Point, a son of Edward and Darlene Wachtendonk Sr., 5480 Woodland St.
He was married to Donna Anderson on July 14, 1973, in Pewaukee. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1973 until 1977. He was a well-known aviation artist and was a private pilot, serving on the Wild Rose Airport Association Board for many years.
Other survivors include one daughter, Katye (Troy Stilen) Buck, Ogdensburg, one sister, Joleen (Dan) Trustem, Moorhead, Minn., and one grandson.
