Dorothy M. Bailey, 69, 1800 Sherman Ave., Whiting, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at Wausau Hospital Center while under hospice care.
Services were Wednesday at Boston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in King.
Visitation was held Wednesday before the services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bailey was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Lead, S.D., a daughter of Clara (Weidel) Newman, Stillwater, Minn., and the late C. Alvin Newman.
She was married to Francis Bailey on Sept. 21, 1964, in Waukegan, Ill. He died April 5, 1999.
The couple settled in Milwaukee and came to Stevens Point in 1990.
Survivors besides her mother include seven daughters, Denise Erdman, Sturtevant, Judy (Tom) Styne, Milwaukee, Dianna Kobishop, Stevens Point, Jackie (Dave) Stencil, Scandinavia, Shelly (Tim) Bucher, Hedgesville, W.Va., Gail (Dave) Watson, Denver, Colo., and Bonnie (Mitch) Richman, Plymouth; three sons, Jerry (Janet), Phoenix, Ariz., Dane Scheel, Vandermast, Md., and Jim (Lisa), Milwaukee; three sisters, Diane (Daryl) Moe, Sun Prairie, Darlene Harris, Stillwater, Minn., and Donna (Dave) Redman, Scandia, Minn.; three brothers, Don (Catherine) Newman, Stillwater, Minn., Dean (Linda) Newman, Isle, Minn., and Dan (Nancy) Newman, Lake St. Croix Beach, Minn.; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
