Doris M. Welton, 80, 720 Polk St., Whiting, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, at River Pines Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jensen & Jinsky Funeral Home, Plover, with the Rev. Ed Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in the town of Grand Rapids in Wood County.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Alzheimer’s Treatment and Research Center.
Mrs. Welton was born March 1, 1919, in North Dakota, a daughter of the late Alfred and Edna (Hinch) Adams. She graduated from Central High School in Madison.
She was married to George Welton on Nov. 16, 1938. He survives.
She worked as a clerk at Woolworth Department Store in Stevens Point.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also worked as a volunteer at the Veterans Home in King.
Survivors include three daughters, Margo Kealey, Stoughton, Sue (Tom) Hughes, Plover, and Linda (Tom Lewandowski) Cantrel, Milwaukee; one son, Gary, Stevens Point; three sisters, Ruby Schulz, Madison, Mildred (John) Johnson, Long Beach, Calif., and Elaine Boyle, Hemit, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
