Vivian E. Strache, 89, 1563 Strongs Ave., died Friday morning, Aug. 20, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital while under the care of Hospice of Portage County.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Boston Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Knutson will officiate. Burial will take place later at Forest Cemetery.
Memorials have been established in Mrs. Strache’s name for the Hospice of Portage County and Trinity Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
Mrs. Strache was born April 20, 1910, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late John and Julia Siebt.
She attended schools here and, following high school, worked for Sentry Insurance.
She was married to Russell K. Strache on June 1, 1935, in Winona, Minn. He died Jan. 23, 1991.
Mrs. Strache was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, James (Jeri) Strache, Syracuse, N.Y., and two grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
