Melissa Anne Haferman-Januskevicius, 20, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, in Louisville, Ky.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Boston Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Fadness of Caledonia, Ill., will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
A memorial fund is established for the Melissa Anne Haferman-Januskevicius Reward Fund at F&M Bank in Stevens Point.
Mrs. Haferman-Januskevicius was born Dec. 20, 1978, in Madison, a daughter of Timothy and Brenda (Burns) Haferman. She lived in De Forest and attended schools there.
At about age 13 she moved to Stevens Point with her family and graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High School in 1997.
She was married to Tomas Januskevicius on July 1, 1999.
She was employed at Encore Senior Villa, Stevens Point, working with Alzheimer’s patients. She recently completed recording her first CD in Nashville, Tenn.
Survivors include her husband; her parents, Stevens Point; two brothers, William Haferman and Cody Haferman, both of Stevens Point; her maternal grandmother, Sue Ellen (Donald) Berendsen, Burnett; her maternal grandfather, Louis (Charlene) Burns, Excelsior; and her paternal grandmother, Geraldine Gerken, Tucson, Ariz.
