John Pechinski, 93, formerly of 2107 Highway PP, town of Linwood, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at River Pines Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at St. Stephen Catholic Church with the Rev. Dan Kozlowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home. The Knights of Columbus, of which his son, Don, is a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7 p.m. Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to St. Stephen Church.
Mr. Pechinski was born Sept. 17, 1905, in Mill Creek, a son of the late Charles and Rose (Pionek) Pieczynski.
He was married to Ann Groshek on June 10, 1930, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. After the marriage the couple settled in the town of Linwood. She died Oct. 31, 1981.
He was employed by Stevens Point Division of Consolidated Papers Inc. from 1933 to 1970.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Coleen) and James (Lillian), both of Wisconsin Rapids, and Donald (Beverly), Stevens Point; one brother, Frank (Ann) Pieczynski, Michigan; one sister, Frances Kizewski, Wisconsin Rapids; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two grandchildren.
