Belva C. Allen, 88, Wellington Place, died early Friday morning, June 25, 1999, at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Services were Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerald Fischer officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Boston Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial will be established in her name.
Mrs. Allen was born Dec. 26, 1910, in Scandinavia, a daughter of the late Peter and Minnie Forseth. She graduated from Waupaca High School and the Milwaukee School of Beauty Culture.
She was married to Nicholas Allen on June 27, 1934, in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 1955.
Mrs. Allen worked many years as a beautician, starting her own shop known as “Belva’s” in 1952. Her business continued in Stevens Point for more than 46 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Annes Rosary Society.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Karen) Allen, Amherst, and Thomas (Diane) Allen, Stevens Point; two sisters Agnes Everts and Mildred Forseth, both of Waupaca; and four grandchildren.
